This Privacy Policy explains what data EconomyBot collects, how it is used and how long it is retained. We take privacy seriously and collect only what is strictly necessary to operate the bot.

1. Data We Collect

EconomyBot stores the following data in order to function:

• Discord User IDs — to identify users within a server's economy
• Discord Guild (Server) IDs — to separate data per server
• Economy data — wallet balance, bank balance, daily streak, last daily claim date
• Transaction history — source, direction, amount and timestamp of balance changes
• Cooldowns — action name and expiry timestamp per user
• Achievements — which achievements a user has earned and when
• Server configuration — settings configured by server admins via the dashboard

We do not collect message content, usernames, email addresses or any personal information beyond what is listed above.

2. Dashboard Login

When you log in to the dashboard using Discord OAuth2, we receive your Discord user ID, username and avatar URL. This is stored in your session only for the duration of your visit and is not persisted to our database.

3. How We Use Your Data

All collected data is used exclusively to operate the bot's economy features. We do not:

• Sell, share or transfer your data to third parties
• Use your data for advertising or profiling
• Process data for any purpose other than running the bot

4. Data Retention

Economy data is retained as long as the bot remains in your server. If the bot is removed from a server, that server's data is not automatically deleted — server owners may request deletion by contacting us. Individual users may also request their data to be deleted.

5. Data Security

Data is stored in a secured PostgreSQL database. We apply reasonable technical measures to protect it, but no system is completely secure. Use of the bot is at your own risk.

6. Your Rights

You may request a copy of the data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at any time. To do so, please contact us via our Discord support server or the contact information on our website.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at economybot.app/privacy.
